Waynesboro Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrants Including Assault

   David James Skaggs, age 54, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Friday, October 22nd on outstanding warrants. The first warrant stated that on Friday, August 20th, 2021, Deputy Mai Kinney was dispatched to a domestic call. Upon his arrival, he made contact with the alleged victim who had visible red marks on her neck. She stated that Skaggs had assaulted her by putting his hands on her neck and pushing her against the stove. Skaggs was charged at that time with one count of aggravated domestic assault.

   Other warrants filed by Deputy Brent Butler state that on Friday, August 27th, 2021, Skaggs was observed driving a vehicle on Railroad Bed Road although his driver’s license was revoked. Skaggs was also charged at that time with evading arrest after he was confirmed to be operating the vehicle on Railroad Bed Road.

   Skaggs was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $72,500.00 bond.
