Waynesboro Man Arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

   Brensen Tyler Lawrence, age 25, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Tuesday, April 6th following a traffic stop. Tennessee Highway Patrol Officer David McDonald filed arrest reports stating that he performed a traffic stop on Lawrence for a seat belt violation, and his K9 partner allegedly alerted to drugs in the vehicle. A search of Lawrence’s vehicle allegedly revealed approximately 2-3 grams of marijuana and 42 grams of methamphetamine. Lawrence was arrested on charges of felony possession of schedule II methamphetamine, driving while in possession of over 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, and simple possession of marijuana. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $150,000.00 bond.
