Waynesboro Couple Arrested on Meth Charges

   Billy R. McClain, age 48, of Waynesboro, and Kristen Leigh Hensley, age 38, of the same address in Waynesboro, were arrested on Sunday, January 26th on meth-related charges following a traffic stop. Deputy Spencer Ray filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by McClain for having a tag light out. After initially speaking with McClain, Deputy Rey contacted K-9 Deputy Tyler McKenzie for assistance. When K-9 Eryk performed an exterior run around the vehicle, he allegedly alerted to the passenger side. The officers then conducted a search of the vehicle, locating a pill bottle containing approximately 18.2 grams of methamphetamine in the center console. McClain was arrested on a charge of manufacture/deliver/sell/possess methamphetamine. Hensley, the passenger in McClain’s vehicle, was charged with four offenses after officers allegedly located a bag belonging to her inside the vehicle that contained 13 ½ Hydrocodone pills, four Oxycodone pills, a glass meth pipe, 3 straws, and metal scales. Hensley was charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance (Hydrocodone), possession of schedule II controlled substance (Oxycodone), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hensley was also charged with manufacture/deliver/sell/possess methamphetamine due to the meth found in the center console. McClain was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $75,000 bond, and Hensley was booked in on $105,000.00 bond.
