Three Arrested on Unrelated Burglary Charges

Austin Ray Sharp, age 24, of Lawrenceburg, TN, was arrested on Monday, May 16 on a charge of aggravated burglary. The report filed by Deputy Seneca Butcher stated that on May 11, 2022, Sharp entered a residence on Buttermilk Ridge Road without the owner’s consent, and did commit theft. Sharp was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $25,000.00 bond.

James Alan Jeffries, age 39, of Iron City, TN, was arrested on Saturday, May 21 in connection with a burglary on Upper Factory Creek Road. According to the arrest report, Jeffries, along with three accomplices, entered a building on the property and stole items valued at $18,608. Jeffries was arrested on charges of burglary and theft of property, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $75,000.00 bond.

Christopher Edward Riley, age 42, of Clifton, was arrested on Saturday, May 21 on a charge of burglary. Officer Jaggar Thompson of the Clifton Police Department filed a report stating that he and Sgt. Timmy Harris were dispatched to a residence on Cypress Street in Clifton. Upon their arrival, the officers learned that Riley had allegedly entered the residence through a window without consent, and was outside the residence when his mother arrived at home. Riley was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $25,000.00 bond.
