Three individuals were arrested following a traffic stop performed by Deputy Tyler McKenzie in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 8th, 2020. Deputy McKenzie filed a report stating that he was sitting stationary on Big Cypress Road when a white Ford Mustang went past that had heavily tinted windows. After pulling the vehicle over and checking the window tint, Deputy McKenzie asked the driver, Joseph Howard Hall, age 32, of Florence, Alabama, for consent to search the vehicle. After Hall denied consent, Deputy McKenzie released K9 Eryk to perform an exterior scan of the vehicle, at which time the K9 allegedly alerted to the driver’s door. An interior search of the vehicle was then conducted, and approximately 0.7 grams of methamphetamine was allegedly found wedged under the backseat. Neither Hall nor his passengers, Krysten Noel Mitchell, age 29, and Tiffany Marie Hinojosa, age 36, both of Waynesboro, claimed the bag of meth. All three were arrested on charges of manufacture/deliver/sell/possess methamphetamine, and were booked into the Wayne County Jail on $75,000.00 bond each.
