Lawrenceburg Woman Arrested After Attempting to Rent Out Property She Didn’t Own

Kimberly Sue Alvarez, age 49, of Lawrenceburg, TN, was arrested on Wednesday, July 26 on two counts of criminal simulation and two counts of theft of property under $1,000. According to the arrest reports filed by Captain Tim Beckham of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Alvarez allegedly led two individuals to believe that she owned property on Buttermilk Ridge Road and on Highland Road, both in Wayne County. She allegedly offered to rent the properties to the two victims, and allegedly received rental deposits in the amount of $300 from each of them. The reports stated that Alvarez has no ownership rights, control, or permission to exercise any business concerning either property. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $25,000.00 bond.
