Couple Arrested on Charges of Aggravated Domestic Assault

   Jimmy Dale Vaughn, age 49, of Iron City, and Kyndra Shauntel Swain, age 21, of Lawrenceburg, were both arrested on Tuesday, August 18th on charges of aggravated domestic assault as a result of an incident that allegedly occurred at the camper where the two were staying. The report filed by Investigator Matt Retherford states that on June 23rd, 2020, Vaughn and Swain became involved in a domestic dispute at the camper on Middle Cypress Creek Road where they were living together. Vaughn allegedly hit Swain in the side of the head with a broomstick, and Swain allegedly struck Vaughn twice with a machete. Vaughn was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of lacerations to his arm and hand. The pair was booked into the Wayne County Jail on August 18th on $50,000.00 bond each.
