William Floyd Holt, Jr. was born on February 13, 1941, son of the late William Floyd and Grace Cagle Holt. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Lynn Roberts on June 8, 1962. He was a retired boat captain of 60 years. He was a member of the Clifton Church of Christ.
Billy departed this life on February 20, 2024 at the age of 83 years and 1 week.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy Holt, and sister, Jane Evelyn Smith, both of Savannah.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Lynn Holt; sons, Mike Holt (Kim) of Houston, TX, Mark Holt (Shon) of Clifton, and Myles Holt (Kendra) of Clifton; grandchildren, Kelley Ivey, Terra Williams, Peyton Holt, William Holt, Jon-Nathan Holt, Madison Holt, Marigrace Holt, McKenzie Brooks, AvaRhea Holt, Tristan Holt, and Christian Holt; great-grandchildren, Jett Ivey, Ace Ivey, Alyanna Holt, Taylynn Holt, Ella Garrison, Cora Holt, Henry Williams, and Billie-Reece Panther; sisters-in-law, Becky Holt of Savannah, Mary Jo Connell of Sharon, and Suzanne Roberts of Central, AL; brother-in-law, Jim Smith of Savannah; special cousin, Kenneth Holt of Clifton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.oHou
