Thomas Shayne Seitz, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, was born on January 4, 1966, in Nashville, TN. He was the son of Carolyn Davis Seitz Boroughs and the late Thomas “Gene” Eugene Seitz. With a warm smile and a caring heart, Shayne dedicated himself to being a supervisor at Collinwood Lumber. His commitment and leadership were felt by all who worked alongside him. Shayne was also a member of the Waynesboro First United Methodist Church.
On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in Huntsville, AL, Shayne departed this world at the age of 57 years, 8 months, and 2 days. He leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
He is survived by daughter, Shayna Nicole Seitz of Nashville, TN; stepsons, Zachary Shayne Duke of Lawrenceburg, TN, Chandler Blake McRee of Dickson. TN, and Larson Tyler McRee of Dickson, TN; brother, Greg Seitz of Jacksonville, AL; stepbrother, Allen Hampton of Columbia, TN; former wife and mother of their daughter, Lois Ritour of Lawrenceburg, TN; and former wife, Carol Gossett Seitz of Dickson, TN.
In addition to his father’s passing before himself ensuring a beautiful reunion, Shayne sadly mourned the loss of brothers Chris Hampton and John Hampton, as well as his wife Barbara Seitz.
Graveside service was held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, TN with N.J. Pope officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisted the family.
