Mrs. Shelia Ann Blalock Thrasher was born April 30, 1947 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Richard and Lavelle Haddock Blalock. She was united in marriage to Donnie E. Thrasher on September 3, 1963. Mrs. Thrasher was a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Wayne County Nursing Home and a member of the Waynesboro United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thrasher departed this life on May 9, 2020 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years and 9 Days.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Donnie E. Thrasher of Waynesboro, TN; two daughters, Christy Martin of Huntsville, AL, Sadonna Smith (Roger) of Waynesboro, TN; two brothers, Ricky Blalock, Kevin Blalock (Donna) both of Cypress Inn, TN; a sister, Brenda Bowers of New Hope, AL; four grandchildren, Chesney York and husband Tyler, Cole Martin, Kennedy Smith, Jake Martin; and a great-granddaughter, Camila York.
Mrs. Thrasher was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lavelle Haddock Blalock.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 3:00 PM in Collinwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting.
