Sarah Rosetta Shann was born May 11, 1926 in Wayne County, Tennessee to Van Campbell Rasbury and Willie Florence (Brown) Rasbury. She died Friday, February 2, 2024 in the hospital in Hendersonville, TN.
On April 29, 1944 she married Ostien Shann. She was a member of Topsy Church of Christ and retired from Genesco in Wayne County. She always made everyone feel so special.
She is survived by her daughter Elaine Helton and husband Herbert of Goodlettsville, TN; grandchildren, Tony Helton and wife Delisa of Murfreesboro, TN and Scott Helton and wife Angela of Smyrna, TN; great-grandchildren, Weston, Parker, wife Shelby, Connor, wife Mychaela, and Carson; nieces, Beverly Judkins, Janet (Mark) Baxter, Melanie Cross, Glenda Lindsey, Susan (Ken) Meadows, Faye (Jim) Byrd, Denicia (Todd) Roberts, Christie (Glenn) Johnson; nephews, Jackie (Sherry) Turnbow, Terry Floyd; great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ostien Shann; daughter, Betty Lou Shann; siblings, Monetta Bullion, Van Brown Rasbury, Nadine Turnbow, Florence Gossett, Judy Ray; niece, Benita Bullion; nephew, Don Bullion.
