Richard Melvin McNabb was born April 12, 1942 in Centerville, Tennessee to the late Albert Lee and Lucille Anglin McNabb. He was a Plant Manager for Genesco, an active member and Deacon of Waynesboro Church of Christ, and loved spending time on his farm and with family. He married Mary Emma Grimes on October 25, 1967. Mr. McNabb departed this life on April 7, 2020 in Waynesboro, making his stay in this life some 77 Years, 11 Months and 26 Days.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Emma Grimes McNabb of Waynesboro, TN; son, Darian McNabb (Tanya) of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Karen Johnson (Scotty) of Waynesboro, TN, Andrea Hornal (T.J.) of Spring Hill, TN; sisters, Faye Allen of Tampa, FL, Linda Burilson of Centerville, TN, Kay Campbell of Centerville, TN; seven grandchildren, Julie Skelton, Bryce Johnson, Kasee Johnson, Quinn Hornal, Sawyer Hornal, Samantha McNabb, Jacob McNabb; and five great-grandchildren: Brody and Logan Norman, Madeline, Kaylee, and Hunter Skelton.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Louella Bates.
Private graveside services for his family were held Thursday April 9, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Gregg Lee officiating, Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting.
