Raymond Tilley was born October 19, 1960 in Lawrenceburg, TN, the son of Alphie R. Henson Tilley and the late Robert Lee Tilley Jr. He graduated from Collinwood High School in 1979. He worked for Bell South before a lifetime career at Caterpillar Reman in Corinth, MS. He started at the main plant in 1988 and was currently in the LEF (Large Engine Facility).

Raymond loved watching wrestling, hunting, horses, shooting bows with Kylee, watching Amanda and Kylee making crafts, going to the mountains or any road trip they could dream up. He was active in 4-H as an archery and shotgun coach. He always enjoyed band competitions and archery shoots where he and Kylee would shoot together, working on cars with Kylee, and just being outside. He was a very loving, hardworking, caring husband and father.

In addition to these qualities, it is important to note that Raymond was also proud of his Cherokee heritage; his great-grandparents were among those who experienced the tragic journey known as the Trail of Tears. His Cherokee name was “Little Eagle.”
