Randy S. Butler was born August 19, 1955, in Hohenwald, TN, the son of the late Bill Freemon and Myrtle Wallace Butler. He was united in marriage to Martha Butler on June 22, 1974. Randy was an employee of Ryder Integrated Logistics and Crews Logging from which he retired. Randy Honorably served in the TN National Guard as a Staff Sergeant until retirement. He was a devoted member of Waynesboro First Fellowship Church. His hobbies included fishing and carpentry. Mr. Butler departed this life on July 14, 2023 at the age of 67 Years, 10 Months, 25 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Butler of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Stephen Butler (Tina) of Columbia, TN, Chad Butler of Bell Buckle, TN; brother, Tony G. Butler (Sandra) of Waynesboro, TN; and brother-in-law, Dwaine Gable of Waynesboro, TN; sister-in-law, Helen Butler of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Braxton Butler, Madison Butler, Molly Butler, and Devin Webb.
Pallbearers include Chris Butler, Danny Crews, Ricky Butler, Tim Gable, Devin Webb, and Eddie Brewer. Honorary pallbearers include Dwaine Gable, Brian Brewer, Jeff Butler, Austin Vickers, and David Butler.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by a brother, William F. Butler Jr; sisters, Orene Gable and Geneva Butler.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at Waynesboro First Fellowship Church with N.J. Pope officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
