Phillip Dale (Slick) Hinton

   Phillip Dale (Slick) Hinton of Florence, Alabama, was born Friday, December 27, 1963 in Florence, Alabama, one of eight children born to the late Leonard Olen and Laura Jean Frazier Hinton. Mr. Hinton was a farm worker, a friend and a helper to many in the community on County Road 85. He departed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his home at the age of 56 Years, 5 Months and 7 Days.

   He is survived by three brothers, Johnny Charles Hinton of Florence, AL, Terry Wayne Hinton of Florence, AL, Christopher Arthur Hinton of Cypress Inn, TN; aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard Barry (L.B.) Hinton, Thomas Howard (Plummer Jack) Hinton, and Steven Hinton; and one sister, Sandra Jean Hinton. 

   Graveside services were held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11 am at Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial followed with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Hinton were Jake Hall, Cody Darby, Eric Darby, Wayne Dickey, Joel Even and Jeff Franks, and serving as honorary pallbearers were Jack Hall and Jimmy Hall.
