   Peggy Sue Beckham was born April 25, 1953 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Jack and Lydia Pearl Brown Beckham. Miss Beckham was a member of the Indian Creek Family and the Community and Education American Legion Auxiliary Unit 254. She worked for many years at TN Apparel, Lincoln Brass, as well as Clifton Manufacturing, where she worked in the shipping and sewing department. Miss Beckham also was an avid reader and a talented quilter. She departed this life on January 31, 2023 in Collinwood, TN at the age of 69 years, 9 months, and 6 days.

   She is survived by brothers, William Thomas Beckham (Judy Carol) of Cypress Inn, TN, and Joseph Edward Beckham (Susan) of Collinwood, TN; sisters, Mary Lois Bowling of Collinwood, TN, Clara Belle Snodgrass (Michael Ray) of Florence, AL, and Vickie Denise Petty (Louie Keith) of Collinwood, TN; and sisters-in-law, Molly Ruth Beckham and Georgia Diane Beckham.

   In addition to her parents, Miss Beckham was preceded in death by grandparents, John Henry Thomas and Oma Elizabeth Sherrill Brown, and William Isham and Mary Ellen Shull Beckham; sister, Oma Ellen Beckham; brothers, Clyde Franks, Jack Beckham, Jr., and Larry Steve Beckham; brother-in-law, Jimmy Gus Bowling; nephews, Jeff Franks and Lane Bowling; and sister-in-law, Virginia Sue Franks.

   Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 am at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.

   At Miss Beckham’s request, she was cremated following her services and will later be buried in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

   Honorary pallbearers were Jack Beckham III, Tony Bowling, Justin Snodgrass, Alex Byrd, Terry Joe Beckham, Jeff Pigg, and Cory Daniel.
