Michael J. Burns of Jacksonville, FL was born on September 24, 1963. He was the son (one of five children) born to the late James and Imogene Burns. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Burns, and a sister, Joyce Jones.
Mr. Burns served in the United States Army, as an Army Civilian and retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs with 30 years of Federal Service.
Michael is survived by the love of his life, Donna Burns of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by his three children with Debra Nutt Burns of Munford, TN: Davin Sampietro (Michael) of Hollywood, CA; Nathan Burns (Valerie) of Millington, TN; Abby Burns of Jacksonville, FL; and 4 grandchildren: Lorelei, Amia, Cash, and Arizona Burns. Michael was also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Stephens of Waynesboro, TN, and Joanne Ganey of Washington.
Mr. Burns departed this life on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the age of 59 years, 2 months, and 24 days.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
