   Margie Lee Holt Quillen was born April 17, 1944 in Waynesboro, TN to the union of the late Homer Lee and Annie Lucille Warren Holt. She was united in marriage to Leamon Joyl Quillen on September 12, 1959. Mr. Quillen preceded her in death on September 3, 2023. Mrs. Quillen was a Christian in her life first and foremost. She was a member of the Wayne County Bible Center in Waynesboro. Her Christian attributes shined through as she loved to help others. She was a seamstress and then supervisor at Clifton Manufacturing for over thirty years and then she was the founder and owner of Golden Goodies Bake Shop and loved to cook. Mrs. Margie especially loved spending time with her family and going to the drag races. The last few years, she has especially enjoyed the company of her dog, Harvey. Mrs. Quillen departed this life for her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in Nashville, TN making her life 79 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

   Survivors include her children, Terry Quillen (Sonya); Brenda Quillen Butler (David); Keith Quillen (Elizabeth); one brother, Jackie Lynn Holt (Cheryl); all of Waynesboro, TN. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brent Quillen, Brooke Foster (Joey), Kyle Quillen (Laci); one step-grandson, Brandon Butler (Deanna); three great-grandchildren, Jace Foster, Brenly Quillen, Audrey “AJ” Quillen; five step-great-grandchildren, Will Butler, Alex Butler, Sophie Butler, Brycen Butler, Dominique Alvardo; one great-great- grandchild, Parker Butler; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

   In addition to her parents and husband of 64 years, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Holt, Sonny Holt; and one sister, Margaret Ann Kilburn.

   Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Leo Doyle officiating. Burial followed in the Waynesboro Memorial Gardens.
