Leon Brewer of Collinwood, TN was born May 6, 1940 in Collinwood, TN to the late William Wayne and Pauline Elizabeth Kephart Brewer. He worked as an insulator for Local #78, TVA Brown’s Ferry. He departed this life Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center, Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 6 months, 17 days.
Survivors are companion, Margaret Haddock, Collinwood, TN; son, Darren Lee Brewer, Moulton, AL; step-son, Ricky Haddock, Collinwood, TN; brother, David Brewer, Collinwood, TN; sister, Louita Ann Wilson, Michigan; three grandchildren, Emily and Ally Haddock and Heather Crabb; three great-grandchildren, Kellee, Will and Abbie Crabb; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by son, Jackie M. Brewer; brothers, Louil, James and Edward Brewer; sister, Mary Ann Brewer; and his former wife, Joyce E. Brewer.
Services were on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Collinwood, TN with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial was in McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Ricky Haddock, Tim Brewer, Anthony Brewer, Kenny Brewer, Dewayne Brewer, and Mark Brewer. Honorary pallbearer was Eddie Brewer.
