Kayla Marie Nance of Clifton, TN was born on May 29,1981 in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of Faye Staggs Greer and the late Michael Lynn “Mickey” Nance. Kayla departed this life on April 23, 2023 at the age of 41 years, 10 months, and 25 days.
Kayla is survived by son, Peyton O’Neal of Perry County, TN; mother, Faye Greer of Perry County, TN; aunts, Shirley Morrow of Waynesboro, Glenda Ponds of Adamsville, Mary Jane Copeland of Savannah, Cindy Masingale of Lawrenceburg, and Tipp Alley of Clifton; uncles, Johnny Staggs of Waynesboro and Gary Dale Nance of Clifton.
In addition to her father, Kayla was preceded in death by grandparents, the late Taylor Staggs, Gladys and Roy Sherrill, Peggy Alley, Bobby Nance; aunts, Betty Garrett, Freddie Gray; uncle, Bodie Staggs and Terry Joe Nance.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with Sandy Potts officiating. Burial followed in Culp’s Chapel Cemetery in Perry County, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisted the family.
Pallbearers were Michael O’Neal, Stephen Copeland, Hunter Kelly, Dominic Prince, Joe Johnson, Kevin Nance, Joey Bain, and Robert Warren. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Massa and Allen Warren.
