Kathy Belle Holt Prater, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many, was born on December 8, 1950, in Hohenwald, TN. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Edward Holt and Frances Holt Lawrence. On September 18, 1967, she entered into a lifelong partnership with her loving husband Donald Prater.

In her earlier years, Kathy dedicated her time and talents to Trace Manufacturing Company, where she worked in the sewing department. Later, in 1992, she pursued a new path as a correctional officer at CCA South Central until her retirement in 2015.
