John Wesley Collins was born July 18, 1947 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late William Thomas and Beulah Dale Kelley Collins. Mr. Collins was united in marriage to Dianne Roberts on November 25, 1972. He retired as a truck driver for Wayne County Solid Waste and was a member of Ray’s Chapel in Waynesboro, TN. Mr. Collins departed this life on November 29, 2022 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 11 days.
He is survived by wife, Dianne Roberts Collins of Waynesboro, TN; son, Michael John Collins of Hohenwald, TN; daughters, Candy Collins of Hohenwald, TN, Elizabeth Anna Marie Collins Davey and husband George of Savannah, TN; brother, Vernan Collins of Savannah, TN; sister, Joyce Norato and husband Fred; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Shields Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial followed in the Shields Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Blaze Painter, Blake Painter, Stethon Martin, Richard Massa, and Jerry Baugh.
