Mr. John Edward “Jack” Sackreiter was born February 1, 1936 in International Falls, MN to the late Milton and Ethel Sackreiter. He was a long-time member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports. He, being a devout family man, loved spending time with his wife of 46 years, Jo Nell, and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mr. Sackreiter passed from this life to be with his Lord on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro at the age of 87 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Nell Vencion Sackreiter of Waynesboro, TN; son, Johnny Sackreiter of PA; daughters, Carla York and husband Elbert of Waynesboro, TN, Jeanette Snyder of Tecumseh, MI; grandchildren, Molly Ashley and husband Scott, Tyler York and wife Chesney, all of Waynesboro, TN, Jennifer Kruger of Tecumseh, MI; sister, Joanie Strickrodt of Jackson, MI.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Eugene and Don Sackreiter.
Services were held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN at 3:00pm with Jacob Kitchens and David Miller officiating. Visitation was held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church from 1:00pm till 3;00 pm service time. Burial with military honors was held directly after the service at Cole Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN.
Pallbearers were Elbert York, Tyler York, Scott Ashley, Darrell Petty, Wayne Vencion, and Josh Vencion.
Honorary Pallbearers were Randy Morris and Lavoy Lee.
