Jerry Wayne Pigg, beloved husband and cherished member of the community, was born on July 25, 1955, in Florence, AL. He entered this world as the son of the late Eugene and Nediamae Pigg. Jerry peacefully passed on February 10, 2024, in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 6 Months, 16 Days.
In addition to his role as an Electrician at Tim Rhodes Electric and devoted member of the McGlamery Baptist Church, Jerry had many passions that brought him joy. One of his favorite pastimes was riding motorcycles – feeling the wind against his face and the freedom on the open road. He also found solace in woodworking and took pleasure in getting his hands dirty while creating beautiful pieces. Mr. Pigg was known by all as a skilled handyman who could fix anything with care and precision.
His memory will live on through his beloved wife Cynthia Ann Allison Pigg of Cypress Inn, TN. Together they built a life filled with love and shared countless precious moments. Jerry also leaves behind daughters: JerriAnn, Elizabeth, and April; sons: Jerry, Collin (Sonya), Chris (Sierra); sixteen grandchildren: Heath, Koty, Dylan, Kyler, Nathan, Caleb, Cody, Carlie, Tobie, Gunner, Emily, Abby, Cami, Jamison, Ashton, and Albrey; along with five great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and Jerry’s love and dedication will be forever etched in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachael; brother, Calvin Pigg; sister, Barbara (Thomas) Mitchell; grandchild, Joshua; and brother-in-law, Thomas Mitchell.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood with Bro. John E. Banks officiating. Burial followed in the McGlamery Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
