Jerry Wayne Peacock was born July 6, 1945 in Waynesboro, TN to the late Quentin and Cleo Kelley Peacock. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones in his home on February 4, 2022 after a long fight with colon cancer. Jerry was an avid fisherman with many small and tall tales, deer hunter, loved his Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves. He had retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing in Lawrenceburg, TN.

Jerry was survived by his wife of 34 years, Betty Griggs Peacock; son, Jacob Quent Peacock; daughters, Amanda Rae Jefferies and Kacinda Leigh Burns, fiancé (Dustin Phillips); grandchildren James Haden Ramsey, Damian Cain McKenzie, Kitana Jade Cox, fiancé (Trevor Skelton), Allie Caylor, Benjamin, Isaiah Burns, Trevan DeWayne Burns, Sophia Ann Phillips, Brynleigh Elizabeth Burns, Elleri Reign Phillips and Jon Paul Phillips; great-grandchild Leo Matthew Shelton; sister Betty Morgan; brother-in-law Ralph Griggs; nephew Matthew Morgan; and a host of cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson Brayden Xavier Burns and a brother Sammy Peacock.

Services were held on February 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Camryn Eaton officiating. Visitation was held Thursday February 10, 2022 from 11:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.
