   Jenny Lou Devers Pope Hunt was born October 7, 1935 in Waynesboro, TN to the late Clyde and Christine Bundrant Devers. She will be lovingly remembered as a people person. Her love for people can be seen as she spent her time taking care of people as a nurse, working at Genesco, and sewing. She loved to cook, spend time with her grandkids, and spending time with her family all together. Her family will lovingly remember her love and care for her puppy “Sugar.” Mrs. Hunt departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Nashville, TN, making her stay in this life 88 years, 5 months, and 26 days.

   Survivors include her brother, Dan Devers of Waynesboro, TN; a granddaughter, Marlynna Russ (Brandon) of Loretto, TN; two great-grandchildren, Payton Mace, Blaine Mace. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, Tony Devers (Kim) of Waynesboro, TN; Amy Wilson (Terry) of Waynesboro, TN; Kim Davis (Tommy) of Paragould, AR; Christi Denning (Dale) of Milan, TN; Randy Burns of Murfreesboro, TN; Daniel Devers (Ginger) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; Jennifer Holder (Chris) of Fayetteville, TN.

   In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, J.T. Pope; her second husband, Willard Hunt; a daughter, Sherry Wilson; a granddaughter, Jessica Wilson; a sister, Faye Burns; a brother-in-law, Bobby Burns; and a nephew, Stan Burns.

   Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Dale Denning officiating. Interment followed in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens.
