James Rickey McCurry was born March 18, 1968 in Savannah, TN, the son of Faye Sherrill Holt and the late James Robert McCurry. Mr. McCurry was a truck driver and a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. McCurry departed this life on May 8, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 54 Years, 1 Month, 20 Days.
He is survived by his son, Ryan McCurry and wife Allie of Florence, AL; his mother, Faye Sherrill Holt; a sister, Kathyrn Staggs; step-father Raymond Holt, step-sister Gina Lawson and husband Johnny; step-brother Tim Holt and wife Tammy, all of Iron City, TN; two grandchildren, Kenzleigh Dawn McCurry and Faithleigh Ryan McCurry of Florence, AL; nephews Junior Staggs of Puryear, TN, Matthew Staggs of Oakland Park, FL, and Bubba Staggs of Iron City, TN; niece Jessica Hasting of Prospect, TN; as well as several great-nephews and great-nieces. In addition to his father, Mr. McCurry was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Staggs.
Services will be held on May 11, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Cromwell Crossroads Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton and Greg Stults officiating. Burial will follow in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM till 3:00 PM at Cromwell Crossroads Church in Collinwood, TN.
