James (Jim) Franklin Stricklin

   James (Jim) Franklin Stricklin was born on September 9, 1932 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Bently Herman and Nannie Holder Stricklin.

   On October 6, 1956, he was united in marriage to Betty Lou Prater Stricklin, who survives.

   Jim worked in construction. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee. Jim loved woodworking, making furniture, sitting outside, and spending time with family.

   He is survived by his wife, Betty Stricklin of Clifton, Tennessee; daughters, Angela Gammill and Melonie Pickett; sisters, Betty Lou Harrison and Kathleen Godwin; grandchildren, Jamie Gammill, Justin Pickett, Jenna Gammill, Jordan Gammill, and Jessica Packwood; and great-grandchildren, Addalynn Gammill, Canon Pickett, Isaac Gammill, and Oliver Pickett.

   In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Lois Garner and Frances Conway.

   Services were held on October 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee, with Clyde Carroll officiating. Burial followed in the Clifton Cemetery at Clifton, Tennessee.
