James Barton (Bart) Jones of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee was born December 3, 1959 in Savannah, Tennessee. He was the son of Sarah Alice Kimbell Jones of Lawrenceburg, TN, who survives and the late James Frank Jones. Mr. Jones was an electrician, having worked in construction and was of the Protestant faith. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 60 Years, 9 Months and 19 Days.
Other than his mother, Sarah Alice Jones, Mr. Jones is survived by a sister, Karen Busby of Lawrenceburg, TN; two nephews, Franklin Hughes and wife, Amelia and Garrett Hughes and wife, Kasey; a niece, Kaitlin Busby; two great-nephews, Liam and Lain Hughes, a great-niece on the way in January, 2021 and of course, his beloved pets, his dogs, Lady, Buck and Gypsy.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1 pm at the Shield Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Casey Jones, Mike Maples and John Gough officiating. Burial followed with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Jamie Lynn, Rob Floyd, Brent Jones, Gene Maples, Jay Glover, Randall Jones, Kyle Jones and Jeff Jones.
