Hope Lavere Sanderson Denton

   Hope Lavere Sanderson Denton of Waynesboro, TN, was born in Anderson, Indiana on July 23, 1936, the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy Mae Middleton Sanderson. She passed from this life December 21, 2023 at her home in Waynesboro, making her stay in this life 87 years four months and twenty-nine days. She was a kitchen worker and attended the House of Praise Church in Waynesboro. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and cooking desserts. She especially enjoyed watching and playing with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. 

   She is survived by her children Rickie Moneyhun and wife Betty, Timothy Moneyhun of Roseland, LA, Melody Joe Martin and Tonya Lee Thrasher and husband Chris both of Waynesboro, TN, brother Harvey Sanderson of Anderson, Indiana.

   Grandchildren, Chris Moneyhun, Timothy Moneyhun, Adam Moneyhun, Thomas Leonard Still, Jamie Dawn Staggs, Mickey Franklin Martin, Kodi Lee Thrasher, Mandy Starr Thrasher, Nina Marie Moore, and Patricia Lee Thrasher, great-grandchildren, Sajul Leanette Moneyhun, Logan Marie Slaven, Julia Ann Moneyhun, Cody Wayne Moneyhun, Taylor Staggs, Breanna Staggs, Ethan Still, Issac Still, Bo Moore, Willow Moore, Clayton Thrasher, Easton Walker, Slayde Sesler, Everleigh Mitchell, great-great-grandchildren, Carter Grace Abernack, Nate Slaven, Fletcher Slaven, and Joleigh Lomar.  She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Rickie Moneyhun, Jr.

   Funeral services for Hope Sanderson Denton were at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Joseph Wallace officiating. Visitation with the family was Friday, December 22, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial with committal service was held at Griggs Cemetery

   Those honored to serve as pallbearers included Cody Moneyhun, Kodi Thrasher, Nathan Moore, Adam Dixon, Chris Thrasher, Jacob Dixon, and Gavin Sesler
