Hollis Dale McGahey was born on March 10, 1942, in Hayti, Missouri, the son of the late Hollis McGahey and Lillian Downing McGahey. He was united in marriage for 53 years to his loving wife Margie Lineberry McGahey, who survives.
Dale owned an irrigation company in Nashville, TN before retiring. He spent the last several years commuting between his home in Nashville, and Clifton with his wife. Spending time on their farm and home on the Tennessee River gave him great joy.
Dale departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, in Nashville, TN at the age of 78. In addition to his wife Margie, he is survived by his two daughters, Sonya Ballard of Nashville, Leah Bearden and husband Russell Bearden of Nashville; six grandchildren, Whitney Sensing and husband Matt Sensing, Bailee Ballard, Brycen Ballard, Bella Bearden, and Willem Bearden; great-grandson, Knox Sensing.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
