Hermon Glenn Johnson of Ethridge, Tennessee was born January 6, 1941 in Lewis County, Tennessee, the son of the late Ellis and Eula Mae Graham Johnson. He was united in marriage to the former Betty Ruth Ayers on November 2, 1962. Mr. Johnson retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Co. and was a member of the Lawrence County Classic Car Club and Antique Tractor Club. He departed this life on Monday, December 2, 2019 at his home at the age of 78 Years, 10 Months, 26 Days and is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Johnson and their daughter, Kim Beckman, husband, Todd all of Ethridge, TN; a grandson, Ty Beckman, wife, Morgan; a brother, Norman Johnson, Florence, AL; and a sister, June Dixon, Lawrenceburg, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Keith Johnson and a brother, Donald Johnson.
Services were held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Bill Murphy officiating. Burial was in McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Ty Beckman, Wayne Stults, Ben Threet, Clint Johnson, Dewayne Johnson, and Allen Dixon.
