Glenda Gail Burns Daniel was born November 12, 1949 in Florence, AL, the daughter of the late Grady and Bethal Daniel Burns. She was united in marriage to David E. Daniel on March 29, 1970. Glenda retired from the Wayne County Board of Education where she was a third-grade teacher’s aide and a member of the Lutts Baptist Church. In her spare time, Glenda loved spending time and keeping her grandchildren. Glenda departed this life on July 14, 2023 in Collinwood, TN at her home at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 2 days.
She is survived by her husband, David E. Daniel of Collinwood, TN; Shannon Daniel (Hollie) of Collinwood, TN; daughter, Mia Daniel of Atlanta, GA; sister, Shirley Hubbard (James) of Lexington, AL; grandchildren, Braxton, Glenna, and Olivia Daniel; nephews, Doug Burns, Tim Burns, and Mickey Stults; and nieces, Pat Webb, Karen Williams, Sharon Williams, and Tammie Williams.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her brother, J.T. Burns and her sister, Earlene Stults.
Funeral services held on July 17, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN, with Brant Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutts Cemetery at Lutts, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
