Georgia Blount Staggs, Loretto, TN, formerly of Clifton, TN, was born August 1, 1938 in Huntsville, AL to the late James Marvin Blount and Mary Martha Manning Blount Helton. She married Gene Staggs, June 10, 1956, he preceded her in death, December 30, 2005. Mrs. Staggs, a retired seamstress, was of the Baptist faith. She departed this life, Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center, Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 3 Months, 16 Days.
Survivors, son, Tony Gene Staggs, Loretto, TN; grandsons, TJ Staggs, wife, Morgan, Matthew Staggs, wife, Alex; great-grandchild, Ellie Mae Staggs; daughter-in-law, Kathy Kay Staggs; sister-in-law, Bonnie Smith; brother-in-law, Jimmy Roberts, Jr.; nieces, Joy Neely, Susan Arnold, Brandi Lee, Kathy Tatum, nephews, Brandon Treadwell, Roger Smith. She was also preceded in death by son, Timothy Staggs; brother, James Blount; sister, Nancy Blount Roberts; stepfather, Tolbert Helton and her companion, Little Man.
Services were Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee. Ricky Nelson officiated. Burial was in Walker Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee. Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directed. Pallbearers were TJ Staggs, Matt Staggs, Roger Smith, Tommy Daniels, Hunter Tucker, Blake Sanders with Brandon Treadwell being honorary.
