   Mr. George Alex Stricklin was born May 20, 1938 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late William Ledford and Flora Angeline Franks Stricklin. Mr. Stricklin was a machine operator for Vanity Fair Corporation and attended the Scotts Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Stricklin departed this life on May 8, 2020 at his home in Cypress Inn, making his stay in this life some 81 Years, 11 Months, and 18 Days.

   He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nina Faye McFall Stricklin; two sons, Kelvin Stricklin and wife Rita, Jonathan Stricklin, and one grandson, Alex Stricklin, all of Cypress Inn, TN; and one sister, Lorene Franks of Savannah, TN.

   In addition to his parents, Mr. Stricklin was preceded in death by four brothers, Billy Stricklin, John Henry Stricklin, Bobby Joe Stricklin, O.C. Stricklin; and six sisters, Inez Stricklin, Gladys Robbins, Pearl Hughes, Polly Franks, Margaret Stricklin, and Betty Stricklin.

   Services were held on May 11, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood with Junior Overstreet officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting.
