   Garry Rayford Moore, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on February 9, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1953, in Hohenwald, TN, son of the late James and Ruby Moore.

   Garry dedicated many years of his to the service of others. Garry retired as a machinist from Local #65 in Sheffield, Alabama, then later in life he worked as a custodian at Collinwood High school. His commitment to his work was evident in the impeccable manners he always displayed and the strong relationships he built with both colleagues and students. Garry’s warm smile and friendly demeanor brightened the hallways of Collinwood High School for years.

   Outside of work, Garry had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He found great fulfillment in collecting old money, had a passion for motorcycles that took him on countless memorable rides across scenic routes, and possessed an exceptional talent for working on cars.

   Garry will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Belinda Franks Moore; and their children: Garry Frank Moore (Amanda), Jarrod Ray Moore, and Samantha Kaye Moore McKinney (Todd); his brother Roger Moore; sisters Judy Hensley and Janice Smith (Dennis); grandchildren: Peyton Moore, Tanner Moore, Jaylee Moore, Henley Moore, Zoe Moore, Landon McKinney, and Adam McKinney; and several nieces and nephews.

   In addition to his parents, Garry is preceded in death by brother, James Moore, Jr.; grandson, James Moore; and brother-in-law, Jeff Hensley.

   Funeral services for Garry Rayford Moore were held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN at 2:00 pm with Steve Jones officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

   Pallbearers were Jeremy Morgan, Chester Cox, Dustin Smith, David Hensley, Dwain Moore, and Donnie Moore.

   Honorary pallbearers were Peyton Moore, Tanner Moore, Henley Moore, Landon McKinney, Adam McKinney, and Ronnie Moore.
