Gainell “Maw B” Rich Bevis

   Gainell “Maw B” Rich Bevis was born September 12, 1951 in Cypress Inn, TN, the daughter of the late Gaynes T. and Clora Belle Berry Rich. She was united in marriage to Ernest Bevis on September 19, 1973, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2013. Gainell retired from NHC Place in Coolsprings where she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She also worked jobs with home health at Gericare and Elk Valley, she was the former owner of Pop’s BBQ, and presently co-owner of TGR Printing. Gainell was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. Gainell departed this life June 4, 2023 in Collinwood, TN, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, at the age of 71 years, 8 months, and 24 days.

   She is survived by sons, Richie Bevis (Nikki James) of Waynesboro and Ernie Bevis (Brenda) of Linden; daughters, Cherry Haddock (Jamey) of Collinwood, and Stacey Keeton (Larry) of Waynesboro; sisters, Joann Statom (Ralph) of Collinwood, Rosena Phillips (Ray) of Florence, AL, and Teresa Evans (Dwight) of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Rosanne Rich of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Belle Robinson, John Eley Robinson, Kellan Haddock, Alex Haddock, Nathan Haddock (Bailey), Adam Haddock, Hanna Bevis, Brooks Bevis, Bryson James, Kodi Groves (Jenny), Jessica Groves, and Maranda McWilliams (Blake); great-grandchildren, Lexi Groves, Lainey Bradley, Adrieanna Williams, and Treyger Haddock; a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly, an abundance of special cousins, and an uncle, Norman Rich (Delores) of Muscle Shoals, AL.

In addition to her husband and parents, Gainell was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Ernest Rich and Gaynes H. “Shorty” Rich and sister-in-law, Betty Rich.

   Funeral services were held on June 9, 2023, at 1:00pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, with Greg Eaton and Michael Statom officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, TN.

   Pallbearers: Michael Statom, Mark Statom, Chip Phillips, Greg Martin, Jason Brewer, and Colby McCrory.
