   Frank Gobbell, Jr. 82, of Broken Arrow, OK passed into the presence of his Lord Jesus on August 11, 2021 following a courageous battle with cancer. Frank was born in Lawrence County and raised in Waynesboro, TN, a 1956 graduate of WCHS and veteran of the US Navy.

   He is survived by his wife, Jean Freeman; daughter, Angela Thomas of Bartlett, TN; son, Jeff Gobbell (Kelly) of Spring, TX; stepson, Mark Freeman (Leigh); stepdaughter, Libby Freeman (Kevin); two sisters, Janie Holt and Joyce Gobbell; brother, Jerry Gobbell (Judy); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, B.F. Gobbell, mother, Anna Mae Duren, and a half-brother, James F. Gobbell.

   Frank retired from the city of West Memphis, AR Fire Department as Assistant Chief after 25 years of service. He spent his retirement years working in various positions with Cherokee Hills Golf Club (Cherokee Nation Entertainment). Frank enjoyed all types of card games, golf, college football, music, and dancing!

   A casual “come and go” memorial celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 28th from 2-4 pm at Waynesboro Church of Christ Fellowship Building. The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation to ClareHouse of Tulsa, OK or the American Cancer Society be made in memory of Frank.
