Frances Marie Pigg Daniel was born March 6, 1925 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jerry Thomas and Josie Adeline Reeves Pigg. She married James Marcus Daniel in Florence, Alabama on May 17, 1945 and he preceded her in death, April 9, 2015. Mrs. Daniel departed this life, December 28, 2019 at St. Mary’s of Mercy Hospital, Livonia, Michigan at the age of 94 years surrounded by family members. Mrs. Daniel was a member of the First Baptist Church, Collinwood.
She is survived by two sons, J. Darwin Daniel, wife, Brenda, Troy, MI, Roger M. Daniel, wife, Jeanine, Westpoint, TN; two daughters, Roberta M. Odor, husband, Gary, Plymouth, MI, Debra F. DeMoss, husband, Mark, Flower Mound, TX; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda L. Jones in 2018.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Barry Jones and Mark DeMoss officiating. Burial was in the McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers were Jeremy Odor, Shannon Jones, Trevor Daniel, Jason Odor, Daniel DeMoss, Luke DeMoss, and Jordan Odor.
