   Ms. Fayetta Horton Caperton was born May 25, 1931 in Collinwood, TN. She was the beloved daughter of the late Eldred and Goldie Horton. 

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Caperton and granddaughter, Gwenivere Dawn Dixon. She retired from Genesco after thirty years. She was a member of Millrock Baptist Church. She loved being a mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to all. She was an amazing cook, and no one ever left her home hungry. 

   Ms. Fayetta passed away November 12, 2023 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 92 years, 5 months, and 19 days. 

   She is survived by daughters, Donna Dixon (husband, Paul), Vickie Tatum (husband, Charlie), and her son, Jimmy Caperton. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Christy Kendrick (husband, Jason), Paula Templeton, Chris Caperton (wife, Cindy), Jena Lynch (husband, Chris), and Caleb Caperton (wife, Misty); great-grandchildren: Zac Thompson (wife, Whitney), Kyla Riser (husband, Colt), Gracie Scott (husband, Rylee), Gavin Templeton, Taylor Caperton, Christian Zepeda, Preston Caperton, Lydia Caperton, Miley Caperton, Turner Lynch, Cooper Caperton, and Deacon Lynch; great-great-grandchildren: Blair and Blayke Risner, Ivey Thompson, Hallie and Baby Hatton Scott (on the way); brothers: Joe Horton (wife, Nellie), Samuel Horton (wife, Becky); sisters-in-law Ruth Dobbs and Rowena Caperton; along with nieces and nephews, all whom she dearly loved. 

   Pallbearers included Chris Caperton, Caleb Caperton, Zac Thompson, Taylor Caperton, Preston Caperton, Gavin Templeton, Christian Zepeda. Honorary pallbearers included Turner Lynch, Cooper Caperton, and Deacon Lynch.

   Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16 at 2:00pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Brant Sanders and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial was at Horton and Daniel Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
