Carolyn Sue Kelso was born December 8, 1939 in Wayne County, TN the daughter of the late Elbert Ray and Mabel Clayton Kelso. Sue worked for many years at Modine Manufacturing Company where she was a line worker. In her spare time, Sue loved listening to gospel music where she would hold her hand up to God, playing cards with family and close friends, watching sports, outdoor activities, and beyond all she loved her family and would hold her grandkids’ little hands and kiss them every chance she got. Sue departed this life on December 28, 2023 in Lawrenceburg, TN at the age of 84 years and 20 days.
She is survived by daughter, Beverly Hutton; grandchildren, Leslie Brewster (Cameron), and Brady Hutton (Meredith); six great-grandchildren; sister, Janis Brewer (Robert); special sister-in-law, Carol Kelso; and many sweet nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by sisters, Lazelle Daniel and Maxine Ayers; brothers, Orval Kelso, JD Kelso, Dilliard Kelso, and Glen Kelso; son, Shane Pigg; and daughter, Leah Pigg.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 11:00 am at Memorial Gardens in Collinwood, TN with Greg Stults officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisted the family.
