Mr. Bunda Petty was born October 24, 1935 in Lutts, Tennessee, the son of the late Bud and Clemie Franks Petty. Mr. Petty worked for Dana Corporation in Hohenwald, TN. He was married to Emma Hickerson Petty. Mr. Petty departed this life on December 25, 2020 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months and 1 Day.
He is survived by his wife Emma Hickerson Petty of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Darrell Petty and wife Kim of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Judy Arthur and husband Tim of Lynchburg, TN; stepson Rocky Lockard and wife Tina of Lawrenceburg, TN; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Petty was preceded in death by a son, Steven Mark Petty; three brothers, Bill Petty, Haggard Petty, Alton Petty; and two sisters, Robbie Petty, Thelma Johnson.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Balentine Cemetery in Lutts, Tennessee with Greg Stults officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisted the family.
