   Arlie Roosevelt Keeton, Sr. was born on June 11, 1932 in Wayne County, TN. He was the beloved son of the late Landerth Edmond and Jossie Ada Risner Keeton.

   Arlie found his soulmate in Pauline Inman, and together they embarked on a journey of love and companionship that lasted an incredible 69 years. 

   Deeply devoted to his faith, Arlie was a member of the Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. 

   Arlie had a remarkable work ethic and spent many years as a Brickmason for Lynn Witchitt Construction in Memphis, TN. Later on, he retired from Cates & Puckett Construction, Inc. in Muscle Shoals, AL. His dedication and skill were evident in every project he worked on.

   Not only did Arlie serve his fellow human beings through his profession, but he also served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. 

   When Arlie had free time, he enjoyed tending to his wife’s beautiful flowers and nurturing his garden. His green thumb was renowned among friends and neighbors, who were often beneficiaries of his abundant vegetable harvests.

   On November 5, 2023, at the age of 91 years, 4 months, and 25 days, Arlie peacefully passed away at his home in Iron City, TN. 

   He is survived by his adoring wife, Pauline Keeton of Iron City, TN; sons, Arlie R. Keeton, Jr. of Collinwood, TN, Arlan Keeton (Patricia) of Cypress Inn, TN, Paul Keeton (Peggy) of Iron City, TN, Bobby Keeton (Pamela) of Iron City, TN, John Keeton of Iron City, TN, and James Keeton (Jennifer) of Lutts, TN; daughter, Arliene Collins of Iron City, TN; grandchildren: Micheal, Jeremy, Zachery, Brian, April, Billy Joe, Jesse, and Jonah Keeton, Eden Sherrill, Krissy Hanvey, Lee Collins, Alex Davis, Brandie Hazelwood, Cameron Cole, and Kaysen Cole; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

   Arlie was preceded in death by his infant brother James Keeton; grandson Quintin Ray Keeton; great- granddaughters Blair Rose Collins and Bronica Jackson; and son-in-law Mark Brandon Collins. 

   Funeral services were held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN, with Edward Burbank, Greg Eaton, and Tim Hanback officiating. Burial followed in the Piney Grove Cemetery at Cypress Inn, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

   Pallbearers were Arlan, Paul, Bob, John, Jesse, and Jonah Keeton.

   Honorary pallbearers were Easton Sherrill, Axel Collins, Zade Keeton, James Keeton, and Arlie Keeton, Jr.
