   Amos Floyd Adams, age 78, joined his parents and sister in Heaven on December 4, 2023. He was born on June 23, 1944, to Ernest and Sula (Carden) Adams. A lifelong resident of Waynesboro, Amos was a self-employed painter that loved his work and all the families that he met over the years while on the job.

   He is survived by his wife, Judy McClain Adams, two daughters, Amber Venable and husband John, and Heather Mace and husband Keith; three grandchildren that were the loves of his life: Alysia Merino (and Clay Beckham), Hector Merino, and Carden Venable; a brother of Sylvania, Georgia, James William Adams and wife Evelyn; nephews David Dean, Michael Adams, and Christopher Adams; niece Joy Dean and great-niece, Hannah Nadeau; friends that were family, Mary Springer and children, Dan and Sarah, and their families.

    He was preceded in death by his sister, Lue Nelle Dean and his very special friend, Dr. William Springer.

   Services for Amos were on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisted with arrangements. Dan Springer and Brant Sanders officiated a private graveside service at Walker Cemetery in Waynesboro. 

   The family asks that memorial contributions please be sent to the Wayne County Angel Tree in care of Amy Van Fleet at the Wayne County Board of Education, P.O. Box 658, Waynesboro, Tennessee 38385.
