Collinwood Man Arrested on Multiple Counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery
On Monday evening, September 22, 2025, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) received a report of inappropriate behavior regarding an adult male and juveniles. Although the investigation is ongoing, Michael Scott Lassiter of 108 Richard Horton Lane, Collinwood, TN, has been charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery.
Lassiter was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $200,000 bond. An initial hearing in Wayne County General Sessions Court was set for September 30, 2025.
The investigation is ongoing, and according to the WCSO, more charges are likely to be filed pending the conclusion of the investigation.
“The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting the most vulnerable of our citizens,” said Sheriff Shane Fisher. “This is why the arrest of Michael Scott Lassiter was made prior to the conclusion of the investigation.”
