Arrests Include Pills, Assault, Methamphetamine

Cassie Lynn Howse, age 38, of Savannah, TN, was arrested on Thursday, April 28 on multiple charges. Deputy Mai Kinney responded to a call at Floyd’s Rock Quarry of a possibly intoxicated individual on the premises. Upon his arrival at the quarry, Deputy Kinney encountered Howse, who was allegedly behind the wheel of a vehicle and smelled of alcohol. She allegedly proceeded to perform poorly on field sobriety tests performed by Deputy Kinney. Howse was then placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence. Howse allegedly refused to submit to a blood draw, and was also charged with violation of the implied consent law. Howse was also allegedly found to be in possession of two pills believed to be suboxone, and a substance rolled in paper believed to be marijuana. This resulted in a charge of simple possession/casual exchange. After being transported to the Wayne County Jail, Howse was allegedly found to be in possession of more pills while in the booking area. She then received an additional charge of introduction of contraband into a penal institution. Howse was booked into the Wayne County Jail with no bond due to her charge of driving under the influence 2nd offense.

Joshua Frank Peevyhouse, age 42, of Clifton, was arrested on Monday, April 25 on charges of simple domestic assault and possession of schedule II methamphetamine with intent. Deputy Brandon Grady went to a residence on Washington Street in Collinwood to serve a warrant on Peevyhouse for domestic assault. The incident the warrant referred to allegedly occurred on February 24, 2022, when Peevyhouse’s wife alleged that he became angry and locked all the doors to the residence, held her down, and struck her with a metal pole. While Deputy Grady was serving this warrant on Peevyhouse, he allegedly discovered a small metal box in Peevyhouse’s front left pocket. The box allegedly contained a small crystal rock of methamphetamine with a field weight of 0.06 grams. Peevyhouse was taken into custody and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $27,500.00 bond.
