Daniel Barron Brown, age 39, of Loretto, Tennessee, was arrested on Wednesday, May 12th on a charge of theft of property $2,500-$10,000. The report filed by Chief Deputy Donnie Carroll stated that Brown worked for a construction company owned by Chuck Bowie, and Bowie had instructed Brown to begin tearing down some damaged property at a customer’s residence. When Brown went to the customer’s residence to begin the job, he allegedly asked for and received a check from the customer in the amount of $16,500 to allegedly help pay for construction materials. Brown then went on to cash the check, and has not been in contact with Mr. Bowie or come back to work since. Brown was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $75,000.00 bond.
