Although the circumstances were very different this year, the Waynesboro Rotary Club was still able to host a great Christmas Parade on Saturday. In consideration of the current situation, the different parade floats were posted on the Rotary Club’s Facebook page, and people were encouraged to vote for their favorite ones.
Also on Saturday, the Waynesboro Downtown Committee hosted “Christmas on the Square,” with vendor booths set up and several businesses open to customers. Santa Claus and The Grinch also made their appearance, to the delight of some and the doubt of some other small ones who didn’t know quite what to think about the green Grinch and the man with the white beard and face shield!
The Waynesboro Rotary Club, the Waynesboro Downtown Committee, and all who worked hard to make Saturday’s event a big success are to be commended for their efforts in making the Christmas season feel real and wonderful!
