Wayne Medical Center will host its 14th annual community health fair on Saturday, April 20, at Frank Hughes School at 444 Main Street in Clifton. The health fair will take place from 8 a.m. until noon.
Wayne Medical Center will join a number of community organizations to offer free health screenings, health and wellness information, refreshments, and door prizes. Free screenings will include testing for:
- Blood oxygen level
- Blood pressure
- BMI
- Cholesterol
- Glucose
- Grip strength and fitness
- Heart rate
For community residents needing to safely dispose of unneeded prescription medications, the health fair will serve as a free drug takeback location in partnership with local law enforcement agencies. Medications that are no longer needed or are expired can be brought to the health fair for safe disposal.
Joining Wayne Medical Center as sponsors of the health fair are AHC Savannah, AHC Westwood, Capstar Bank, Freeman Recovery Center, NHC HomeCare, People’s Bank, Tennessee Quality Care, Waynesboro Health & Rehabilitation Center, Workout Anytime, Volunteer Home Care, and Volunteer Hospice.
