Wayne County is represented in the Dixie Youth Softball World Series by three teams known as “Team Tennessee!”

The Wayne County Sweetees, the Collinwood Ponytails, and the Wayne County Belles all traveled to Alexandria, Louisiana to participate in the World Series.

The Collinwood Ponytails 11-12 came on strong, but were unfortunately defeated twice, putting them out of the double elimination tournament. Even though they suffered two tough losses, this amazing team of young ladies represented Wayne County well with their great sportsmanship.

The Wayne County Sweetees were still in the series as of press time on Monday. So far in the tournament, the Sweetees have won two games and suffered one loss. These girls may be young, but they are tough…hopefully we will see them in the Championship Game!

The Wayne County Belles 13-15 were also still hanging tough in the World Series as of press time on Monday. Wayne County would love to see these young ladies in the Championship Game too!
